Celtic boss on driving charge

CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has been charged with driving through a red light in Glasgow.

Yesterday the case against Lennon called at the Justice of the Peace Court in Glasgow.

Lennon, 39, was not in court, but was represented by lawyer Peter Malone, who asked for the case to be continued without plea until later this month. Lennon, originally from Northern Ireland, is accused of failing to stop at a red light in Millerston Street, Glasgow, on March 16.

The former Celtic player, who lives in Glasgow, joined the team in 2000 and captained them to victory in the 2007 Scottish Cup against Dunfermline, securing the league and cup double.
