Strictly Come Dancing star Colin Salmon was joined by partner Kristina Rihanoff in Canada this week so the pair could continue training while he filmed a TV drama.
The 49-year-old actor, known to film fans for his roles in James Bond films, had to fly across the Atlantic to work on scenes for his programme Arrow which was shooting in Vancouver.
To make sure the pair were able to put in enough dance practice, Rihanoff had to take a 12-hour flight, travelling 4,700 miles to be with him.
The pair are due to return to Britain this morning for the show’s dress rehearsals. Filming commitments have eaten into the dance couple’s practice time, leaving them only two days of intensive training.
In an online message to his professional partner, Salmon told her they would “be dancing ourselves to a frazzle”. Rihanoff, 35, visited him on the drama’s set and posted pictures of herself on location on Twitter.
It was not until yesterday that they managed to fit in a session to prepare for this week’s dance – an Argentine tango – which they will perform during the BBC1 show’s Hollywood-themed edition.
The pair may be battling fatigue by the time the programme comes around on Saturday night though, with Rihanoff admitting she was suffering from fatigue and the jetlag from her globetrotting was already making her feel “Sooo tired”.
