Ricky Gervais criticises trade with China

cOMEDIAN and actor Ricky Gervais has waded into a row over the testing of cosmetic products on animals.

Gervais accused firms of putting profits before ethics to trade in China. Testing on animals was banned in the UK in 1998, but the Chinese government still reserves the right to insist on such tests.
