Pop stars Cheryl Cole and Will.i.am recovering after car crash

POP stars Cheryl Cole and Will.i.am are recovering today after a car crash left them bloodied and bruised.

• Black-Eyed Peas rapper said to have driven into parked car with Cole in passenger seat.

• Pair photographed bleeding after collision.

Cole and Will.i.am are suffering whiplash following the accident which occurred after finishing a recording session in a Los Angeles studio at around 3.30am on Wednesday morning.

Witnesses said that the rapper’s airbag inflated upon the collision, while Cole hit her head on the dashboard, leaving both with bloody faces.

Will.i.am was taken to hospital and later released after a check up, while Cole was said to have received treatment at the scene.

Both were quick to assure fans over Twitter that they were fine.

Will.i.am tweeted: “Car accidents are not dope...I’m glad I’m o.k#wiplash.”

He added: “We’re fine. Cheryl Cole (and I) were coming back from the studio but she and I are fine ... just a little wiplash.”

Cole added: “Don’t worry me and @iamwill are fine, promise
