Money can book you Paul McCartney.. at £500,000 an hour

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has been lined up to appear at private parties with an asking price of £500,000 per hour.

The former Beatle has joined the books of top American talent agency Grabow Associates, who can arrange intimate performances for their wealthiest clients. The 62-year-old, who already has a 760 million fortune and is the richest man in pop music, reportedly wants at least 1m for a performance lasting around two hours.

A company insider said: "Paul McCartney is one of our hardest clients to pin down and book.

"He won't return any calls about offers he considers derisory.

"Even for offers he might consider taking up - those in excess of the 1 million mark - he takes a couple of days to get back to us.

"So to say that Sir Paul won't get out of bed for less than a million pounds is a very good way of putting it."

Other artists on Grabow Associates' books include ex-Police frontman Sting, Eric Clapton, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Lopez and Sir Paul's former band-mate in the Beatles, Ringo Starr.
