HARRY Potter author JK Rowling and husband Neil Murray were in the Royal Box at Wimbledon’s centre court yesterday to see Serena Williams gain her first victory of this year’s campaign.

Elsewhere on the second day of play, teenager Laura Robson became the only British player to follow Scotland’s Andy Murray into the second round. Robson’s victory in straight sets against Russian Maria Kirilenko buoyed British hopes after Heather Watson crashed out of the tournament followed by wild card Tara Moore. Organisers said tennis fans are lining up earlier than ever before to pick up tickets for the Wimbledon show courts.
