The pair were arrested at the property in Kinfauns Drive on December 5th, and made no plea or declaration during the private appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Both James snr, 55 and Donald, 24, were granted bail pending a future appearance in court.

Actor James McAvoy jnr has had no contact with his father since childhood, and the 34-year-old has never met his half-brother.

His father has, in the past, admitted that he hopes one day the actor, who appeared in the big screen adaptation of Irvine Welsh book ‘Filth’, will get in touch, adding: “It has been hard on me not being in his life, but I’m just glad that he seems happy. I was amazed he’d done so well.”
