Former Big Brother contestant Jason Cown will stand trial for an alleged sexual assault

FORMER contestant on reality TV show Big Brother, Jason Cowan, is to stand trial for an alleged sex act on a woman.

The ex-body builder, who is originally from Glasgow, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared at the High Court in the city earlier today.

The 38-year-old is accused of “penetrating” the woman when she was “incapable of giving or withholding consent” at an address on Drimsynie Estate in Lochgoilhead, Argyll on December 11 last year.

Cowan appeared in court wearing a dark suit and white shirt, will go on trial on January 9.

The television contestant came second on Big Brother to Portuguese transsexual Nadia Almada.
