A QUARTER of women surveyed in an online poll said that they would regularly spend over £2,000 on their hairstyle in order to look like a celebrity.
Fabriah.com, who carried out the survey, also found that 82 percent of women visit a salon every eight weeks, with their average bill costing around £100 a time. A further £500 a year is spent on hair styling products, while many women are prepared to spend over £100 on hair straightners.
The poll also found that the most enviable celebrity hairstyles belonged to television presenter Holly Willoughby and singer Cheryl Cole, whilst X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger and Victoria Beckham were also popular choices.
Francesca Davies, a representative from the website which carried out the survey, said, “We’re surrounded by photos of celebrities with amazing looking hair, so it’s no surprise that women try to copy their look. It’s certainly not a cheap thing to do.”
