Celebrities get online to back city's festivals
SCOTTISH celebrities are among those backing a campaign to promote Edinburgh's festivals to the rest of the world.
Broadcaster Kirsty Wark and actor Alan Cumming are among a line-up of "ambassadors" for the Capital revealed, coinciding with the launch of an official www.edinburghfestivals.co.uk website.
Each personality shares their thoughts, experiences and highlights on the website.
Other big names to be involved include comedian Stephen K Amos, writer Christopher Brookmyre, actor Richard E Grant and choreographer Mira Kaushik.
Faith Liddell, director of Festivals Edinburgh, said: "Having the support of such diverse, yet influential and celebrated friends is a tremendous privilege."
