Castle unveils new manager

EDINBURGH Castle has appointed a new executive manager.

Nick Finnigan will take over from Barbara Smith. He has worked for Historic Scotland, the body which looks after the Castle, since 1989.

Ruth Parsons, chief executive of Historic Scotland, said: "Nick has all the experience needed to take the helm at Edinburgh Castle.

"I am sure that he will continue to improve visitors' experience of Edinburgh Castle and see it build on its position as Scotland's number one paid-for visitor attraction."
