Cash and sex toys stolen
THIEVES have stolen a batch of sex toys from a vending machine at a hostel in the city centre.
The Naughty Vend machine, at Belushi's bar on Market Street, was raided on Thursday night, with the thieves making off with hundreds of pounds worth of novelty items and the machine's money box.
Staff at the bar, which is part of the St Christopher's Inn hostel, believed the pub was specifically targeted.
Bar manager Michael Phillips said: "They'd obviously checked out the place beforehand and knew what they were after. The machine hasn't been ripped off the wall or anything like that - it's been attacked properly with tools and the thieves have taken everything.
"They must have been in and out of the place in just a few minutes. The first we knew about it was when one of our customers came and told us it had happened."
