Cartoons of the week - 07/07/12 - 13/07/12

Waiting for Video...

BANKING scandals, Andy Murray, Lords reform and, of course, the Scottish independence debate were in the thoughts of our cartoonists this week.

Saturday 7 July: Were Barclays above the law? The banking scandal continued in full flight on Saturday.

Sunday 8 July: Peter Higgs was there for an earth shattering event... oh yeah, and he also discovered the god particle.

Monday 9 July: Andy Murray’s run to the Wimbledon final got us all excited. It got politicised of course; is he British? Is he Scottish or is he both?

Tuesday 10 July: Our cartoonist gives the First Minister the treatment again, as the independence debate rages on.

Wednesday 11 July: The banking scandal and Mervyn King’s reaction took centre stage on Wednesday.

Thursday 12 July: Poor Nick Clegg got the sharp end of our cartoonist’s pencil on Thursday, as he took aim at the Lord reform debate and the partial split in the coalition on the issue.

Friday 13 July: The Olympics security story and all the confusion that entailed was in the news on Friday.
