Car club puts more wheels on the road

A CITY car-sharing scheme has increased its number of vehicles to 90 as it reaches into new areas of the Capital.

City Car Club said it hoped to have more than 100 cars in Edinburgh within the next few months to keep up with the level of demand.

The new cars are set for a number of new locations, including Ogilvie Terrace, West Bryson Road, McDonald Road, Abercromby Place and McEwan Square at the Springside development in Fountainbridge.

The company says membership has increased by 90 per cent on last year.

James Finlayson, managing director of City Car Club, said: "Demand and uptake of our car club service in Edinburgh is at an all-time high so these new cars and locations will make the service even more accessible."
