Capital is top for recycling
EDINBURGH is the top city for recycling, with 71 per cent of residents recycling each week, according to a new survey.
The online poll found that single men living alone were best at recycling, while families with children under five were worst.
Schools are taking a leading role in teaching children about the environment, with many more over-fives convincing their families to recycle.
Kitchen company Magnet questioned 2225 people in their poll.
They found Edinburgh residents were the most environmentally friendly, followed by Manchester and London. Birmingham came bottom of the poll, with only 34 per cent recycling each week.
