Campaigners seek review into St John's
A GROUP campaigning for services to be returned and maintained at St John's Hospital has called for a review into the facilities there.
The Stop the Downgrade campaign, which was set up to fight the corner of the Livingston hospital, wants both West Lothian Council and the Scottish Government to look at decisions NHS Lothian takes over the hospital.
Members said they wanted health secretary Nicola Sturgeon to show the same interest in St John's as she did recently in the notorious Vale of Leven hospital.
In a letter, they said: "We are angry that there is not even the promise of an independent review of NHS Lothian's unilateral and undemocratic decisions.
"The people of West Lothian are being treated as second class."
