Campaign has bone to pick
A CAMPAIGN has been launched to protect those with brittle bones suffering unnecessary fractures.
The National Osteoporosis Society said not enough is being done to reduce the number of needless injuries those with the condition sustain.
The organisation also won backing from the city's Royal College of Physicians as it lobbied ministers at Holyrood.
Claire Severgnini, the society's chief executive, said: "Painful and debilitating fractures are not an inevitable result of osteoporosis, yet most healthcare services do little to prevent them."
