Call to drive up rail service

THERE have been calls for the Scottish Government to put pressure on ScotRail to improve services.

The National Passenger Survey found that satisfaction levels with ScotRail had fallen four per cent in the autumn of last year, compared with the spring.

ScotRail said it had outperformed the national average in 30 of the 33 survey categories.

Lib Dem transport spokesperson Alison McInnes said: "Ministers must put the pressure on ScotRail to improve levels of passenger comfort."
