Cabinet minister calls for new drive against BNP

WHITE working class voters have turned to the far-right British National Party because they feel ignored by mainstream politicians, a Cabinet minister said today.

Communities Secretary Hazel Blears called for a new drive against the BNP in the week of 12,000 names and addresses of the party's membership was posted on the internet.

Ms Blears, writing in a national newspaper, accused the party of playing on people's "apprehensions".
