Burning issue for fire festival
A FIRE festival is under threat with more than a dozen stewards needed to ensure this year's event goes ahead.
The Beltane Fire Society's Samhuinn performance, which passes from the Castle Esplanade to Parliament Square, needs at least 17 additional volunteers for the event on October 31.
The organisation is inviting would-be stewards to a recruitment session on Sunday at 3pm at the Meadows.
A spokesman for BFS said: "You can get your steward training, walk through and health and safety all in one day."
