Budding golfer on course for city academy
A YOUNG golfer who met Open champion Louis Oosthuizen after playing at one of the world's most famous courses has been invited to a prestigious city summer school.
The Evening News reported last week how five-year-old David Li Ferguson impressed onlookers at St Andrews with his natural ability before meeting the South African.
The organisers of Loretto school's golf academy were so impressed with his credentials they have asked for the boy to join them.
His father David said: "It would be great. I know they have a very good golf school there and he is at the stage where he would certainly benefit from a bit of quality coaching."
