Brown aide quits post for PR job
GORDON Brown's Scottish spin doctor is quitting his Downing Street post after only three months to take a top job in public relations.
Paul Sinclair, who previously worked for former Scottish Secretary Douglas Alexander, is to become managing director of the UK operation of international PR firm Hill & Knowlton.
Last night, the Conservatives accused Mr Sinclair of jumping ship only weeks before the crucial Glenrothes by-election.
However it is understood that Oxford-educated Mr Sinclair, 42, a former political editor of the Daily Record, was leaving for family and career reasons.
He is expected to leave Downing Street at the end of September. He will start his new job in November.
