Brits knock back opportunities

A STUDY has today exposed Britons as being deeply unadventurous.

Research for the National Lottery found that 48 per cent of those questioned had not tried a new activity for a year or longer and 17 per cent said they couldn't even remember when or what it was. This is despite 34 per cent of those quizzed admitting they wanted more variety in life.

The research, conducted by the Social Issues Research Centre, also explored why people were held back from making the most of opportunities presented. Top of the list was financial concerns.
