Boy in court on rape charges
A TEENAGER has appeared in court over the alleged rape of two women in the same East Lothian town in the space of three days.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named, appeared yesterday in private on petition at Haddington Sheriff Court in connection with sexual assaults on 19 July and 21 July in North Berwick.
In the second alleged incident, an 18-year-old was allegedly dragged into a lane off the High Street and assaulted at around 12:40am last Tuesday.
The youngster, from Glasgow, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
