'Boring' Brown edges out Becks
THE Prime Minister has been named the most boring public speaker in the country – pushing the footballer David Beckham into second place.
In a survey of 1,000 adults, one in five named Gordon Brown as the worst public speaker, followed by Beckham, the actress Kate Winslett, Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and the Prince of Wales.
The study also found the actor Stephen Fry was the most popular public speaker, beating even Barack Obama, the president of the United States.
One in six of those polled said public speaking was their "worst nightmare".
