Who wants to volunteer for a top gong?

OVER 50 people are shortlisted for an awards event for volunteers.

The Volunteer Centre Edinburgh West will host the ceremony at the Risk Factory in New Mart Road on 28 June, where presentations will be made by David McLetchie MSP.

Harriet Eadie, director of the Volunteer Centre Edinburgh, said: "The level of volunteering in Edinburgh West is outstanding."

Girl Guiding and boxing are just two of the areas being recognised.
