Bike checks are on a roll for breakfast
THERE may be no such thing as a free lunch but commuters in Leith were treated to free breakfast rolls and bike maintenance checks on their daily commute.
Organised by We Love Leith and Greener Leith, yesterday's event was very successful with more than 60 people tucking in.
People from across the Capital stopped by at the Water of Leith Walkway, under the Great Junction Street Bridge, and 15 people got their bikes serviced for free.
Alastair Tibbitt, who helped arrange the event, said: "We are aiming to create a positive attitude to cycling and change the sometimes negative perception people have. The day was about us saying thank you to the people of Leith for choosing to walk or cycle to work."
