Big Brother rant ‘broke guidelines’

Reality show Big Brother breached broadcast guidelines when viewers saw a housemate launch into a tirade of “explicit descriptions of sexual violence” about another contestant, according to Ofcom.

The watchdog said it had 2,085 complaints this year about Big Brother, which transferred to Channel 5 after being dropped by Channel 4 in 2010.
