Big break in obesity study
SCIENTISTS at Edinburgh University have made a breakthrough which could help understanding of obesity-linked conditions.
Research has led to the discovery of a protein found in all cells in the body which reveals how humans store fat. It is hoped it could unlock mysteries surrounding conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.
The university's Prof Margarete Heck said: "The presence of this protein may suggest that it has a role in obesity."
