Bid to build homes denied
A MAN who wanted to build three houses on wasteland in East Lothian has been denied permission.
Mr K Buglass was originally thwarted by East Lothian council which refused his application for the buildings in Dunbar in May 2007. He appealed but the Scottish Government ruled that the development by Lochend Gardens should not go ahead.
Holyrood planning reporter Allison Coard said: "I find that the development would be to the detriment of the character and visual amenity of this area."
