Beauty box: Eve Lom

Eve Lom is the creator of a stellar range of skincare products, including the hugely popular wax-based Eve Lom Cleanser (www.evelom.com)

What's your top beauty product?

My Eve Lom Cleanser. It's four products in one – cleanser, make-up remover, toner and, applied with a muslin cloth, an exfoliator.

Do you have a beauty tip?

The secret to good skin is cleansing. Moisturiser isn't always necessary.

Biggest beauty marvel?

When I was an apprentice, I sent a client home with the wrong products – she had very oily skin and I gave her an oil-based cleanser. But it turned out well – she came back a couple of weeks later with much improved skin. Realising you could treat oily skin with oil got me thinking and was a real turning point in my career.

Would you consider cosmetic surgery?

No, I believe in natural beauty and looking after your skin.

What's in your bathroom cabinet?

I keep my beauty regime very simple – there's some Sisley foundation, Max Factor mascara and Eve Lom products.

Quick wipes or a three-step regime?

If you can't find five minutes a day to spend on skincare, you don't deserve beautiful, healthy, radiant skin.

How long do you take to get ready in the morning?

Not long. After some meditation or yoga, I have a shower and afterwards splash some water on my face to refresh my skin and kick-start the day.

What are your favourite clothes?

I love Giorgio Armani – classic, understated and elegant.

Are you brand loyal?

Yes, very. If something works for you, why change it?

What's your fantasy beauty treatment?

Lymphatic drainage – it's the best way to flush out the toxins.

Is there anything you'd be too frightened to have done?

Plastic surgery.
