Beatles' crossing gets listed status
The world-famous zebra crossing which features on the cover of the Beatles' Abbey Road album has been given Grade II listed status by the government.
Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are seen crossing the road near their recording studio in Ian Macmillan's photograph, later emulated by dozens of other bands.
