Basques to bring folk and cultural festival to city
A BASQUE folk and cultural festival involving around 100 people from the town of Idiazabal was due to arrive in the Capital today.
They will be performing different Basque sports, music and culture exhibitions in support of the right to self-rule for the Basque and Scottish nations.
The major showcase, including weight lifting, wool carrying, sawing and dancing, is set to take place at Calton Hill Park on Friday at noon.
The Basques were also due to meets MSPs at Holyrood today.
