A BANNED motorist fell foul of the law after he took over the wheel from a drunk driver.
James Drummond was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified for a third time.
Livingston Sheriff Court was told that although his driving ban had ended, he had not applied for a new licence and was still disqualified.
Drummond, 28, of Polbeth, West Lothian, yesterday pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Iain Smith, defending, said: “There was a drunk person driving and he made them pull over and continued with the journey.”
Sentence was deferred for background reports.
