Banker admits to touching up two women

A RETIRED bank manager who has admitted indecently touching two women as they slept has been sentenced to carry out community service.

On both occasions, Adam Flockhart, 50, of Woodburn Terrace Drive, Dalkeith, touched the women, aged 27 and 23, as they slept after a night of socialising.

Flockhart, a first offender, admitted creeping into the bedroom where the 27-year-old was sleeping on a night between December 2000 and January 2001 and touching her indecently.

He molested the 23-year-old woman one night in August 2003 after they had been having drinks together with others. The women, who knew each other, did not contact the police until last year.

Flockhart pleaded guilty to two charges of lewd behaviour at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He was placed on the sex offenders register for two years.

Defence counsel David Nicholson said the consumption of alcohol lay behind the offences.
