Badger death driver cleared
A MAN of 21 has been cleared of deliberately driving his car at a badger and killing it.
Peter Allison, from Borgue, Kirkcudbrightshire, stood trial on a charge brought under the Protection of Badgers Act of 1992.
He was accused of crossing the carriageway in pursuit of a badger on a road near his home, driving at the animal and killing it. The offence was said to have taken place on 28 January this year.
Allison was found not guilty after the trial at Kirkcudbright Sheriff Court.
