Asbos set for cost review
TEARAWAY youngsters would no longer face Asbos after it emerged they cost £500,000 each.
Only 14 'junior Asbos' have been brought in Scotland since they were introduced by law four years ago, and questions have been raised over their effectiveness.
Their future is being considered as part of a Scottish Government review, although ministers have indicated it will be shelved.
Fergus Ewing, community safety minister, said: "We are asking whether the resources deployed, for example on junior Asbos, could have been more fruitfully spent."
