BBC staff plan to strike over cuts

THE BBC is facing a strike by journalists and other staff after they voted for industrial action in a dispute over job cuts.

Members of the National Union of Journalists and technical union Bectu backed taking action, including walk-outs, in a long-running row over a cost-cutting programme, which will lead to the loss of 2,000 jobs.
