Arrest made over death of man asleep in bus lane

Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the death of a man who was run over while he was thought to have fallen asleep in a bus lane.

Craig Williams, 35, from Clermiston, was found seriously injured on Ocean Drive after a car struck him on July 29 last year.

The hotel worker, originally from Wales, was rushed to hospital by ambulance, but later died from his injuries.

A 25-year-old male driver is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on May 1.
