Anorak: Bluebirds up, up and away at 11-10

CARDIFF City can take another stride towards the door of the Barclays Premier League by beating Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm today.

The Bluebirds are sitting ten points clear of the chasing pack in the Championship and while they’ve perhaps not been the most pleasing on the eye, they have adapted to the gruelling schedule of 46 games better than anyone else.

In Malky Mackay, they have a manager who will never let complacency set in despite their lofty position, and in their last four away matches, his side have won by a single goal. Today they face a Huddersfield team who have failed to improve since sacking Simon Grayson. Their woeful run now stands at just one win in 13, and I am confident that Craig Bellamy and Co can ensure another miserable afternoon for the Terriers. It’s a skinnier price than last week’s winning headline bet of 10-3 (Newcastle to beat Chelsea), but get on Cardiff at 11-10 with Bet 365.

Southend, going well under Paul Sturrock, can take can take the points at Accrington Stanley (6-5 Hills); Crewe look big at 9-4 (Bet365) to win at managerless Notts County and goals under 2.5 in the Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers game looks fairly likely (5-6).
