Alcohol intake linked to big rise in oral cancers
ALCOHOL is chiefly to blame for an "alarming" rise in the oral cancer rate among people in their forties, experts claim.
A report today said the number of 40-somethings developing cancers of the mouth, tongue, lip and throat had increased by a quarter in the past decade, with smoking and alcohol intake the two main risk factors for the onset oral cancer.
