Islay girl flies to US for cancer care

An 11-year-old girl from Islay has begun life-saving cancer treatment in the USA.

Ciara Caskie Allan flew from her home at Bowmore after brain surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow for the third time. Ciara suffered a stroke, aged three due to a brain haemorrhage and her life has been a battle ever since.
