Album review: The Yeah Yeah Yeahs | It's Blitz
THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS It's Blitz Polydor, £12.72
The Brooklyn power punk trio should have been further down the road to success by now, and this third album swaps quirky guitar pop for wacky synth-driven disco to get them there.
Karen O plays the disco diva as comfortably as the spiky rock chick, throwing all the right shapes in 'Soft Shock' and taking it down dirty and low with 'Dragon Queen'.
Most interesting and pensive is 'Hysteric', which has radio hit written all over it.
