Album review: Seasick Steve - Man From Another Time
POP SEASICK STEVE Man From Another Time Atlantic Records 51865561582, £12.72
Armed with improvised and invented instruments, Steve scratches and slides his way through this new set of vintage songs. Each one sounds more authentic than the last, from the guitar fashioned from a cigar box that dominates Happy (To Have A Job) to the self explanatory Banjo Song. "Me and computers do not see eye to eye," he reflects, and is indeed a one-man ZZ Top without the studio trickery.
