Album review: Autechre - Oversteps

AUTECHRE Oversteps **** Warp WARPCD210, £11.99

Sean Booth and Rob Brown present complete packages, from artwork to soundscapes, which take on a strangely commercial quality with familiarity. Known, for example, is dominated by what sounds like a deconstructed harpsichord, while D-Sho-Qub turns Axel F inside out. Autechre records can be rewarding, but be warned: you only get out what you are prepared to put in.
