AN ACCOUNTANT is to stand trial accused of singing pro-IRA songs at a Celtic, a court heard today.
Gary Moore is accused of chanting pro terrorist words at the Parkhead club’s SPL match against Dundee United at Tannadice Stadium in Dundee on November 4 last year.
Prosecutors say he sang “in support of a proscribed terrorist organisation” - which was “likely to incite public disorder”.
Moore, 36, of Tanfield Street, Glasgow, was not in court to face the charge under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act.
Sheriff Richard Davidson ordered Moore - a Celtic season ticket holder - to stand trial later this month.
