The A9 reopened last night, 14 hours after a fatal crash involving two lorries near Kingussie.

One male driver died after a horror accident, a mile north of Kingussie just after 6am. The A9 Perth to Inverness road was closed in both directions.

“A man was also taken to Raigmore Hospital with injuries that are understood not to be serious. No one else was injured.

“Enquiries into the collision will be carried out and there is no further information available at this time.”
