9am Briefing: Industrial estate explosion 'suspicious'
POLICE are treating an explosion at a Lothians industrial estate as suspicious.
A fire broke out yesterday just before 6.50pm on the Albyn Industrial Estate, in Broxburn, after a generator exploded.
A total of 27 firefighters tackled the blaze for around three hours.
There were no casualties. Police are treating the fire as suspicious.
Three in hospital after crash
THREE people were taken to hospital after a collision involving a lorry and a car.
The crash happed at about 6.20pm yesterday on Bathgate's Whitehall Industrial Estate, on Inchmuir Road.
A male passenger was freed from a blue Citroen C4 Picasso and treated for minor injuries.
The car's female driver suffered a back injury and along with another male passenger, who had a minor injury, was also taken to hospital.
The driver of the lorry, a man, was treated at the scene for a minor cut on his arm.
Embers hit fireworks spectators in the eyes
SPECTATORS at this year's Festival Fireworks Concert were hit in the eyes by falling embers as they watched the display on Sunday night.
At least six people sought first-aid treatment, and a health and safety investigation will be launched in a bid to avoid a repeat of the problem.

City leaders are to attend a conference in London where they will join a coalition of 11 UK cities to lobby for the project.
