800 step out for marathon in Meadows
HUNDREDS of runners put their best feet forward to raise money for charity at the city's annual Meadows Marathon.
The fun run took place yesterday and more than 800 people are estimated to have joined in to raise money for Comic Relief and other Scottish-based charities.
Athletes of all ages and abilities took part in either the half-marathon or a shorter 5km run, completed in laps around the Capital attraction.
Charities set to benefit from the event include Barnardo's Scotland, Four Square, the Meningitis Research Foundation, Maggie's and Scottish Love in Action.
Organisers are hoping to beat last year's 30,000 total.
