50 years ago today when Beatles played first gig
Beatles fans will gather in Liverpool today to mark 50 years since the band played their debut gig at the city's Cavern Club.
John, Paul and George first took to the venue's stage during a lunchtime session on Tuesday, 9 February, 1961. Drummer Ringo joined in 1962.
